The first Law Enforcement Symposium on Logistics and Asset Management was facilitated by the Asset Leadership Network at the Partnership for Public Service in December 2019.
Grant Thornton Public Sector was the ALN Organizational Member that coordinated the event, which included a keynote presentation by Richard K. Cline, Deputy Director of the Federal Protective Service.
More than 50 people from seven federal agencies and 2 departments spent a half day at the Symposium, which also included presentations on Asset Management Innovation by Mathew Leybold, Senior Manager, Boston Consulting Group and Technological Innovation through Telematics, RFID and Warehousing by Jay Steinmetz (CEO) and Noel McKeon from Barcoding.com.
A diverse audience representing agencies from the Department of Homeland Security, the Department of Justice and others engaged in interactive discussions among breakout groups and as a whole. Attendee surveys indicated a high level of satisfaction with the content and a strong desire for more events of a similar nature.
