Line-of-Sight Newsletter 10 September 2024

Jim Dieter, ALN Chair and CEO, says that ISO 55000 is the “Why,” ISO 55001 is the “How,” and ISO 55002 is the “What.” This week on ALN Th@3 pm ET we will talk about ISO 55001 revisions and How to implement, or improve, an Asset Management system at your organization. See more below in People about Lindsay Ziegler, Convenor of the Working Group 6 that revised ISO 55001.

Mrs. Zeigler’s company provides the training that leads to ALN A55K Professional Certification, so she was well-versed in the original document and therefore could guide suitable discussions to lead to ISO 55001 improvements. Ideas

New Formats for New Ideas

ALN Line-of-Site has frequently pointed to new types of publishing that interest people in new approaches to Asset Management. We do so again by linking to a Washington Post web article that uses a graphic novel approach to story-telling to simply convey the complex ideas surrounding urban planning and the impact of potential rising oceans on our cities. Clearly, urban planning is an asset management issue. Perhaps using simple story telling processes can help us communicate about complex asset management subjects.
