People

George Guszcza, D. Eng., CEPM, CCM, graduated from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point with BS in Sociology / Computer Information Systems Engineering. He also has a Doctor of Engineering, Engineering Management from The George Washington University. He held numerous U.S. and overseas positions with the U.S. Army. He has also served in the U.S. Army Reserve and has almost 20 years of corporate and philanthropic work with organizations ranging from the United Nations to Michael Baker, where he served as Chief Transformation Officer until he joined NIBS in July, 2024. Mr. Guszcza noted the extensive mentions of “Asset” and “Asset Management” by leading federal executives at the NIBS Digital Twins 2024 conference last week. 2024 AM Achievements

Organizational Members of the Asset Leadership Network contributed to 2024 being a milestone year in global Asset Management. Revisions of ISO 55000, 55001, 55010, and new documents 55012 and 55013 were published. U.S. Department of Defense established a Director of Facility Asset Management. The U.S. Architect of the Capitol received the first ISO 55001 certification from ALN Organizational Member ABS Quality Evaluations. The ALN collaborated with the Institute of Asset Management, Asset Management Council, Government Financial Officers Association, SAME, ASCE, and others.
